My Favorite Luxary Guest Ranch Destination
The JL Bar Ranch in Sonora, Texas is worth the drive — or the flight if you happen to own a private jet (since it has its own private airport).
Oddly, I don’t own a jet, so my husband and I rented a car from Austin, TX and headed west to the Ranch. It is worth noting that on the way we happened upon the CUTEST little town called Fredericksburg. and loved it! (watch for a post about Fredericksburg coming this November!) After stopping at some shops and longing after wineries in Fredericksburg, we continued for another hour and 45 minutes to the middle of nowhere: Sonora.

Navigating through the hill country, we finally made it to the GORGEOUS ranch. The JL Bar ranch specializes in Hunting expeditions, but the hubs and I decided on rest and relaxation instead.
This was the perfect get-a-way, We enjoyed their pool, a bike ride, a massage, a Starbucks, and my all-time FAVORITE activity was round pen work at their Horse Psychology workshop. The horse trainer has a deer that follows him around, that’s how in-tune he was with training animals.
Our day was relaxing, and our nights were so satisfying with the world’s best steak dinner. Yes, please.
